Games for Windows

It's been a long time coming but connecting to Live via a Windows PC is finally round the corner. PC gamers will be able to play Xbox 360 gamers and the hardcore gamers could use their PC or Xbox. New firmware updates to the 360 will also allow gamers to connect to Live Messenger while playing their games (I imagine the headset and web cam will work with this too). It also begs the question of whether we'll be able to chat to Yahoo! Messenger users like we can with the current version of Live Messenger on Windows.

I imagine that there won't be much taking advantage of this feature for a while, but it's something to look forward too. Achievements on PC games will be a big bonus for some. It's a small feature but one that enhances playability of a game and prolongs it's life too.

Spiderman 3: Emo Kid

Critics have said the main problem with this spidey outing is the number of villians our local neighbourhood Spiderman is up against. We've seen this before in X-Men. The problem is that characters don't get enough screen time and it's hard to keep up with the multiple stories. I thought Sam Raimi pulled this off quite well. Could have been better of course, but it was definitely good. My issue lies in the whole emo stereotype look they went for when Peter Parker dons the black suite.

Peter Parker with eye-liner. Long fringe. Since when to grumpy/angry people have to wear eye-liner and have a long fringe? This honestly ruined the movie for me. I'd got to an MCR gig to watch emo kids running wild. I don't expect to see this shit in Spiderman.
