Amazon's 12 Days of Christmas

I don't know if anybody else has noticed this but Amazon in the UK have some games on half price deals at the moment.

Not just the usual rejects either. Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Lego Stars Wars II, Tomb Raider and Hitman (available on PS2 as well) are a few of the games available.

There are some really great games coming out for the Xbox 360 soon. Rainbow Six is next up on my list after buying Gears of War the day I came home. The graphics are absolutely stunning - when I bought the 360 with Ghost Recon I was blown away but these newer games look even more amazing.

Oh, I also downloaded the Superman Demo for the 360... a bit of a disappointment. I mean it's really cool flying around so fast and shooting up to the sky. I love just flying around but the enemies are crap! It's obviously aimed more for kids and heck it is fun. Just not my bag. Maybe if they had managed to get the rights to use the John Williams soundtrack it would be a different story. I'm sure I'm not the only one that could fly around all day with that music in the background :)

Ooh, I'd been avoiding Amazon since moving in to the new flat to try and prevent random spending thus saving money for bills, but I think I may just be tempted by a couple of these half-price ones..

Do it. Do it! What games were you looking at? I was tempted by Hitman and Civ 4. If I owned a PS2 I'd definately be getting Lego Stars Wars II - I've heard nothing but good things about that game!!

Sonic for the DS (if not for me but as a Christmas pressie for my sister-in-law) primarily. I'd be interested in Civilization IV and the Tycoon Deluxe set if I thought they'd play on my laptop (the one major downside to not having a proper desktop PC - crap gaming!)

I'd definitely hit up Lego Star Wars II for half price but, here in the States, it's still <a href="www.amazon.com/.../002-6858442-2908839">full retail price</a>.

No, the server got raped. I finally got through maybe 20 minutes later to find they sold out in like 30 seconds.

Ohwell, I'm sure I'll buy one eventually anyway. I'm thinking of getting a PS3 first tho.

Pete - why not get a 360? That way we can play games over Xbox Live. Plus it's about half the price of a PS3
